randomness

worth LOOKING at

25.aug.08

so, yeh, this is not my portfolio site
although, the designs on this page are from my original artwork.
this site serves as a repository for some works in progress, random thoughts, ideas and blah blah.
a place to place ... my things.
+ the projects here are/will be mostly non-web related.
no longer am i scattered and splattered on various sites, so here it is -- one place.
oneNess . possibly twoNess.
friends, future friends, past friends and those inbetween. ... at least for now/

plus i need to keep track of all the things i want to do and my handwritten lists are just not cutting it.

if you are interested in my web work, check out the tab to the left for my associated sites/entities.
i'll be updating the left nav as time permits.
the links are inactive right now, but only temporarily.

i'm building a player with a playlist of songs I am currently listening to or whatever the hell i feel like putting up there. so full-strength player is not yet ready. there is a small one bottom left :: '23'/Blonde Redhead .
--- 25 aug 2008 : just added 'destroying angel'/sneaker pimps
(right after '23')

some bits of the latest follows ....
keep checking back.

  • check out  www.timebanks.org
for timebanks around the world, go here -> www.timebanks.org/international.htm
a friend of mine started one here in los angeles in my neighborhood and i am proud to be a part of this! read about it, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions. you can get the general idea on the site.
    i won't get on a soapbox, but it's
    about making a difference
    about giving back
    about connecting.
    check it out.
  • working on my tattoo design for a couple months now...
to be about 9 or 10 inches in length, along my spine
in black ink, similar to chinese or sanskrit in feel, a calligraphy of my own design coming from no known language. the important thing is for me to know the meaning of the characters, a meaning i attach to them,
and to get a tattoo artist i can trust to print my body.
line art is a basic for tatt artists, but not everyone knows how to bring life to their work.
perhaps this doesn't matter to many, but to me, it is Essential.
which reminds me of one of my favorite films The Pillow Book directed by Peter Greenaway... an outstanding film... sensual, sexual, the colors, the music .. f*ck, take me now
  • it took 10 yrs but ... finally,
FinAlly, Michael Stahlberg recut our film and it may finally make the film circuit.
as the art director and one of the producers and i am excited to see what he's done; the new music is outstanding!!
we hit some major roadblocks after a few other projects together ... too many stories to lay out here, but hey, we're back on track.
i thought this picture was buried.. and apparently, i am wrong! ;-) i will post the trailer as soon as michael gets it out of post.
it may be a few weeks.
  • first 5 shows of a project are in development phase
we're aiming for end of the year to post something ..
a completely untraditional show about food -- it will be great, it will be whack.
it will be educational, entertaining and edgy.
yes, food preparation can be edgy -- hahaha ...hmmm, what could i possibly mean by that?
since food is becoming increasingly expensive & of seemingly questionable nutritious value, the show clips couldn't come at a better time.
affordable tastiness is coming soon... ok, that's all i can say before i get into trouble.
    btw, it'll be web only...
  • taken me forever to get this manuscript translated, but Michael and I have a period piece circa 1890-1920 to be filmed hopefully in france .. hopefully
still working on treatment & financing looks promising, but you never know with films.
will reveal more when its safe to reveal, but i have been super excited about this for a LONG time!...
i did not want to work on films ever again until this project plopped on my lap 2 yrs ago.
it is a true story and it is one i feel a very strong connection to. also, i love this era!
    one of my faves
  • taking a welding class... soon... looking into it.
  • ... there's more to add, but will do so later.
